Church Information
Guests, we enjoy your presence and pray that the sharing of God's Word will help you rejoice in the love and care of the Good Shepherd. Please worship with us again and join us in the Fellowship Hall for coffee and donuts & Bible Class/Sunday School following the service. For Communion - The Lord's Supper is celebrated in this congregation in the confession and glad confidence that, as He says, our Lord gives into our mouths not only bread and wine but his very body and blood to eat and drink for the forgiveness of sins, salvation and eternal life and strengthens our union with him and with one another. Our Lord invites to his table those who trust his words, repent of all sin, and set aside any refusal to forgive and love as he forgives and loves us, that they may show forth his death until he comes. Because those who eat and drink our Lord's body and blood unworthily do so to their great harm and because Holy Communion is a confession of the faith which is confessed at this alter, any who are not members of this congregation are asked to visit with the Pastor or an elder prior to communing. Hearing assistance in the form of cordless units are available for those who would benefit from such during the worship service. Please speak to one of the ushers. Parents of children, our Cry Room is equipped with a pew, changing table, windows, and speakers so you can participate in the worship service. It is ready for your use when your children become restless and is located to the left of the worship area through the double doors. Tot Bags are also available for older children and include books, crayons, paper, and weekly children's inspirations. They are ready for your use and located at the front of the church. Please speak to one of the ushers. Hospital visits, please let Pastor Holthus know if you or someone you know is going to be in the hospital so that he can visit you during your stay. Reminder and invitation to join together in prayer, asking God's blessings on our Shepherd and this congregation at 8:30 a.m. each Sunday morning in the Conference Room. A prayer group member will also be in the library following the service to offer prayers for anyone who desires. All are invited to the prayer group which meets every Monday at 6:45 p.m. Please speak with a prayer group member for more information. |
